Over the weekend of the 25th and 26th June, Middleton Youth Band headed down to Kidderminster for the Severn Valley Railway’s 1940s event, this year under the direction of new MD – Pam Smith.
On both days the Youth Band started their day on Kidderminster Station, pleasing the crowds. The Youth Band then headed up to Bridgnorth to perform another concert in between the brilliant Mr Paul Harper and lovely Miss Lola Lamour.
They then headed off to Arley, which has been used to film scenes in several films and TV series such as Oh! Doctor Beeching!, Goodnight Mr Tom, and the first Harry Potter. The final concert for the day was performed back at Kidderminster station.
It’s been a brilliant weekend for the Youth Band and they are looking forward to doing it all again next weekend!
