Middleton Band recently performed one of our summer concerts to an enthusiastic audience at both Boarshurst Band Club in Saddleworth, and across the world, as the concert was lived streamed on the Boarshurst Band Facebook page.
A packed programme from the band included a number of new and exciting pieces including Balkan Dance (Etienne Crausaz); and the final Movement from Glorifico Aeternum (Dean Jones).
The concert also featured a number of the band’s soloist including:
Principal Cornet Steph Coward playing First Light (Ben Hollings);
Solo Horn Emma Davies playing An Untold Story (Paul Lovatt-Cooper);
Flugelhorn Jonathan Earl playing The Closest Thing to Crazy (Mike Batt, arr. Darrol Barry);
and cornet player David Barker switching instruments to play the Xylophone Solo Gee Whizz! (Byron Brooke, arr. Percy Beechfield Carver/David Barker).
