On Saturday 10th August both the youth and main Middleton bands joined forces to play as part of the newly opened Middleton Tesco Fun Day.
Youth Band
The shoppers’ toes were tapping to our lively and varied programme not to mention our crowd stopping choreography! Audience participation was obligatory with shoppers dancing along ‘Moulin Rouge’ style to our rendition of the ‘Can Can’, clapping along to ‘Young and Swingin,’ singing along to ‘It’s a long way to Tipparary’ and even beating the youth band’s record in the band’s Olympic ‘baton relay!’
Middleton Band
The main band continued the day with crowd pleasers such as ‘Our boys will shine tonight,’ ‘All through the night,’ ‘Salute to Sullivan,’ ‘Those magnificent men in their flying machines’ and ‘American Trilogy.’
